Shown here are some of the logo versions presented during the middle of the design process. The new logo parameters were: 1) it needed to fit in a square space, 2) should include a piece of art from a local Washougal student, and 3) be readable. A san-serif font set in all caps was selected partly because it closely matches the client’s Google font, “Open Sans”. This is an example where the typeface chosen for an existing brand doesn’t need to be the Washougal Public Schools’ logo.
